On November 1, 2004, IL DIVO's self-titled debut album was released.
Less than one week later, the group's groundbreaking opera-kind-of-a-style songs were placing them straight onto the #1 on the UK Albums Chart selling more than 132.000 copies.
This new vocal concept, featuring a renowned quartet of young male singers interpreting romantic songs opera style, was conceived by Simon Cowell as early as in 2001.
Two years later, including numerous worldwide auditions, all four members had been selected and "IL DIVO" was formed.
With diversified voices, each educated and professionally trained in their respectively native country (USA, France, Switzerland and Spain), one of Il Divo's first destinations was A Side Productions' studios in Stockholm.
Visiting Sweden in June 2004, Il Divo's first song was recorded, and in August the group returned for another three, including "Ti Amerņ" which had been co-written and produced by A Side exclusively for the quartet's upcoming debut album.
Across Il Divos' three albums "Il Divo" (2004), "Ancora" (2005) and "Siempre" (2006), A Side Productions has written 4 songs and produced 12.
