New Katherine Jenkins Album Out November

October 11, 2007

Since the release of her debut album three years ago, Katherine Jenkins has established herself as one of the biggest names in classical crossover music. Now the mezzo-soprano releases her new record - Rejoice

RELEASE DATE:
November 19

Born in the South Wales, the 27-year-old former school teacher Katherine Jenkins is the fastest-selling female opera singer since Maria Callas. Also Jenkins is the first artist to have achieved three consecutive classical UK number ones.

Katherine Jenkins new album Rejoice includes four songs produced by Per Magnusson and David Kreuger:

Taken from the opera Cavalleria Rusticana written by Italian composer Pietro Mascagni in 1890.

Secret Love
Taken from the 1953 original Hollywood musical Calamity Jane, starring actress / singer Doris Day who won an Academy Award for the song. Katherine Jenkins' version of "Secret Love" features harmonica genius Toots Thielemans.
