Per with Westlife in 2000
Magnusson/Kreuger got back together with Jörgen Elofsson in 1999 to work on the debut album of the new Irish boyband, Westlife. Together they wrote three songs that appeared on the record, "Westlife". The song "If I Let You Go" was released in August and went straight to the #1 spot at the UK Singles Chart.
This was the beginning of a trend for Magnusson/Kreuger in the UK. Early in 2000, their song "Fool Again", included on the same album, also opened at #1 on the charts.
The year 2000 was a busy one for Magnusson/Kreuger. They were working with Britney Spears on her second album, "Oops!...I Did It Again". Their productions of the songs "Girl In The Mirror" and "What U See (Is What U Get)", which the duo also co-wrote, helped push sales beyond the 15 million mark for Spears' second straight mega success.
Meanwhile, they wrote new material for Westlife's second album, "Coast To Coast", and five of their songs found their way onto the record. The track "My Love" was released in October as the album's first single. And again, Magnusson/Kreuger had another instant #1 in the UK.
The Backstreet Boys, after breaking sales records with their album "Millenium", now turned to Magnusson/Kreuger for help on their new album. The two produced the songs "It's True" and "The Answer To Our Life" for the album titled "Black And Blue". The record became a huge international success and was for example certified platinum 8x over in the US alone.
